Use Known in Codex

Before you start

• A Known account in the organization you want Codex to use.
• Codex installed.

Add Known

1. In a terminal, run:

   codex mcp add known --url https://api.known.info/mcp

2. Then sign in:

   codex mcp login known

3. Known opens in your browser. Sign in, choose the organizations Codex may use, confirm it's you, and select Allow.

Check the connection

Run codex mcp list and check known is listed. Then ask Codex:

Which wikis can you see in Known?

It lists your organization's wikis.

Troubleshooting

• Codex can't connect. Run codex mcp login known again.
• Codex can't see a wiki you expected. It can only use the organizations you selected. To change them, go to Settings → Connections in Known.
