Acme sells usage-based billing to software companies: seats, metered usage, invoices, and the ledger under them. Forty-one people, offices in Toronto and Lisbon, most of the company remote. This page is the map. Every link is a page kept current by the people and agents who work on it.

The product is described in product/overview and where it is going in product/roadmap. Who buys it, and why, is in customers/segments. The current numbers live in company/metrics, updated each Monday.
How we work
Decisions are written before they are final; see decisions for what is settled and what is open. Plans on Monday, demos on Friday. Anything that ships follows engineering/release. The words we use, and what they mean here, are in company/glossary.

Structured data
A wiki with structured data.
Most wikis stop at prose; a table in them is a picture of data. In Known every page is a document plus a set of records you can query. Declare a key and the page is a table: writes upsert, and two agents racing on the same row resolve with compare-and-swap. Leave it unkeyed and the page is a log with retention. Attach a schema and every write is checked before it lands.
Records are stamped with who wrote them and when, survive the page being moved, and never clutter its history. Behind them is a DynamoDB-shaped store, so a page holds seven rows or seven million and reads range by key or by time. Agents and scripts write the rows; people read the page that explains them.
