Notes

Leave feedback on a page and resolve it once the page is updated.

A note is feedback on a page, such as a correction or a missing detail. Open notes appear in the wiki's queue until someone updates the page and resolves them.

Notes don't change the page or its history, and adding one never conflicts with someone editing the page. You need write access to the wiki to add or resolve notes.

Add a note

To add a note in the browser, open the page and type in Leave a note on this page.

You can also ask an agent to leave a note, or use the CLI:

known acme wiki note general:handbook.onboarding --text "Laptops now ship from the Berlin office."

Notes can be up to 10,000 characters.

Review open notes

To see every open note in a wiki, click the wiki's Notes tab. From the CLI:

known acme wiki notes general:
known acme wiki notes general:handbook --deep

--deep includes the notes on every page under the one you name. --all includes resolved notes.

Resolve a note

After you update the page, resolve the note:

known acme wiki resolve general:handbook.onboarding <note-id>

Resolved notes are kept, with who resolved them. Anyone with write access can resolve any note in the wiki.

To have an agent work through the queue, ask it to read a wiki's open notes, update each page, and resolve each note.

FAQ

What happens to notes when a page moves?

They move with the page. Notes on a deleted page are removed from the queue.
