Use Known in ChatGPT
Connect Known to ChatGPT so you can ask about your company's wikis and have ChatGPT record decisions for you. This takes about 3 minutes.
Before you start
- A Known account in the organization you want ChatGPT to use.
- A ChatGPT plan that allows custom apps. In a workspace, an admin may need to allow them first.
Add Known
In ChatGPT, open Settings → Apps → Advanced settings and turn on Developer mode.
Back in Apps, select Create.
Name it
Known, paste the address, and choose OAuth for authentication:https://api.known.info/mcpSelect Create. Known opens in your browser: sign in, choose the organizations ChatGPT may use, confirm it's you, and select Allow.
Check the connection
Start a new chat, turn on Known from the + menu, and ask:
Which wikis can you see in Known?
ChatGPT lists your organization's wikis. Ask it to read a page you know, and it answers with a link to that page in Known.
Troubleshooting
- ChatGPT reports a validation error on a tool. A chat keeps the tools it started with. Refresh Known in Settings → Apps, then start a new chat.
- ChatGPT can't see a wiki you expected. It can only use the organizations you selected. To change them, go to Settings → Connections in Known.
