# Quick start

This guide takes about five minutes. You'll create an organization, add a page, and connect an AI assistant to it.

## Sign in

Go to [known.info](https://known.info) and click **Start free**. Sign in with your work account.

## Create an organization

1. Open the organization menu and click **New organization**.
2. Enter your company's name, for example `Acme Robotics`.
3. Check the address, for example `acme`. You'll use it in links and CLI commands, and you can't change it later.
4. Click **Create organization**.

Your organization starts with a wiki called `general`. If someone already invited you to an organization, open the organization menu and accept the invitation instead.

## Add a page

You write pages in Known by asking an agent. The browser is for reading them. Open **Chat** and enter:

Write a page in general called "How we work": we ship on Tuesdays,
decisions go in general:decisions, and support questions go to Sam.
```

The assistant creates the page. To open it, go to **Wikis** and select `general`. The page's history shows that the Known assistant wrote it for you.

## Connect an assistant

Add Known to the assistant you already use, such as Claude or ChatGPT. Follow the steps for your tool in [Connect an agent](https://known.info/docs/connect-agent), then ask it:
